"This video installation is not only an individual understanding and response to the subject and space of the exhibition, but also an echo of the author?s own historical memory and historical sense through the application of modern media.

Which are the psychological mechanism and historical sensation behind the exhibition site of this work?? a ?classical space? designed and built by modern people? In such a space and atmosphere, as an artist using modern media as well as a modern Chinese, the author must respond to the historical sensation which is significant to the public in his own way. Meanwhile, he also needs to explore the historical memory and emotion, to discover the relationship between the traditional symbols, historical images and the modern understanding. He also will concern with the relationship between historical memory and the subsistence circumstances and the question that in which way that history will be presented through the modern people? It is certainly that this response and exploration is realized by dealing with the materials in a way of vision and feeling, which is exactly a poetic, metaphorical and plastic way, not in a rational and logistic way.

The work is also facing a task in vision and modeling, that is how to combine the modern art with traditional Chinese space and environment. Therefore, the author did very deep and careful consideration and experiment in material, scale, shape and atmosphere."
